I’ve tried writing Blogs over the years on specific subjects and unfortunately as time has gone by my interests have changed and I’ve moved onto other things leaving those Blogs behind to gather dust. The reason I believe this Blog will be different is that it won’t have any direct focus, it will more be about what I’m thinking about at the time. If I ever get any readers, entries may go in a direction determined by them. I like the idea of putting something out there and creating a discussion that I can then base further posts on.

I suppose in the tradition of the first post I may as well give you some details about myself. I currently work as a software engineer and have been in this role for nearly five and a half years. Previous to this I used to do development in my spare time while I was at university, so as you can gather one of my major interests is software development. I also have an obsession with technology and science, I love the way in which it is used in our everyday lives, but equally I hate some of the inefficiencies and general bad engineering that can occur in the technology world.

So to wrap up this first post I can’t entirely tell you what will be on this Blog, but it will be a combination of my opinions on various subjects as well as the odd factual article. All in all I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see where it goes.
